About the Artist: Annie Bergen received her BA in spring of 2006 from the University of Winnipeg. Although she has not pursued fine art through her academic course of study, she has benefited from the mentorship of two rural artists who inspired her greatly and exposed her to a wide variety of media and ideas growing up. Though working in a range of genres, Annie particularly enjoys painting portraits and figures. Aside from being busy painting murals for the city, Annie has recently enjoyed her experiences as a mentor - creating art and painting murals with people of all ages, conducting art workshops, and helping to develop art programing for inner-city residents.

The Edge is presenting a "breakup museum" and is accepting artifacts from past relationships both big and small to be displayed starting on Valentine's Day and continuing for the rest of the month. A lot of the time these gems are hidden in a shoe box somewhere and rarely see the light of day.
