Healing through Art

In September, the Edge Gallery will host Healing through Art, a twelve-week expressive art therapy group for Aboriginal men. The Edge Gallery is part of a working group consisting of five primary service providers for the homeless: the Salvation Army, the Siloam Mission, the Main Street Project, Neeginan, and the Red Road Lodge. Group members will be Aboriginal men referred from one of these organizations.

Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is an activity that uses narrative therapy ideas and was developed by Ncazelo Ncube (REPSSI) and David Denborough (Dulwich Centre Institute of Community Practice). It was first used with vulnerable children in Southern Africa living with HIV/AIDS, but has since been used with communities all over the world. This activity uses the tree as a metaphor for different aspects of life.
