The Edge Venue

Available for Concerts, Exhibits and Special Events
As the Edge is a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the income of renting our facility to assist in funding the continued development of our outreach programming. Our unique and intimate space is offered at affordable rental rates for a variety of artistic uses. If you do not find what you are looking for here, or have an idea for something a little different, we invite you to call the gallery with any questions or suggestions.
CONCERTS
Since our concert series began in the Fall of 2008, we have hosted some truly fine musical talent from across Canada and many of our own home-grown faves! Check out the events page for upcoming concerts and to find some great new music, check out the archive of past performers here! Musicians, Agents and Promoters, please review the following information before sending your EPK or MySpace link and preferred dates:
- Solo, duo or ‘acoustic’ acts only (modified drum kits can be discussed)
- Admission range $5, $10 or "Pass the Hat"
- 50 seat capacity (plenty of standing room)
- Non licensed concession
- 50/50 split of door admission (Urban Art Centre / Artist)
- Artist retains 100% of their merch sales
- In-house sound system provided
6:00pm - Load-in and sound check
7:30pm - Doors open
8:00pm - Show time
We encourage all musicians visiting Winnipeg for the first time to visit Manitoba Music and explore double billing with a Winnipeg based musician.
ART EXHIBITS

We welcome all types of artwork to exhibit with us at the Edge Gallery. Call or email us to arrange an appointment to explore how best we can accommodate your vision! We encourage exhibitors to showcase for a minimum of two weeks (members receive a 25% discount). Exhibition rental includes:
- Opening Night (or closing night) reception 7 - 10pm
- Use of PA system (if required)
- Volunteer staff for opening or closing night
- Exhibition day time hours are weekdays 12:30 to 4:30pm
- Extended hours may be explored
- Advertisement on The Edge newsletter, facebook group pages etc.
