The title of this photographic exhibition refers to the prime spot coveted by any attendee of a music event (and quite often the place these images were shot from).  The original idea for this exhibit was conceived by photographer Reed Oslund as a one-off collective of 4 photographers to showcase both the vibrant local music scene and the talents of the collective to capture some of that music in a visual form.

At first we were going to showcase only local musicians and had considered limiting the images to live performances. As a result of group discussions, we decided that the subject could benefit from a broader perspective, and have now opened up the interpretation to include the Winnipeg music scene in all of its manifestations: live, posed, out of town acts performing in Winnipeg, etc.
